I love the moodiness of this image. The Tom Dixon Jack light is such a contrast to the vintage crystal pendant lights, reasonably trad mouldings and storm grey walls.

Another from my clever friend Kristina Johansson. I especially like how she only painted the wall to the height of top of the window. It makes the ceiling appear to be a lot taller. I know that a lot of the furniture she buys is second hand but in perfect condition and she’ll splash out on one or two expensive pieces like the flos 265 wall light for example.
She is one talented lady! One to watch I’d say.

I am SO excited about todays post I’m practically bouncing off the walls! This is a sneak peak of a fabulous little one bed in Stockholm that my good friend Kristina Johansson just finished renovating. How clever is she? It looks amazing and I’m so proud of her! Oh and btw - it’s for sale if you fancy investing ;)

I saw this image along time ago on interior designer Abigail Ahern’s website, but it wasn’t until I stumbled across it on Sfgirlbybay with the tag line - “In my dreams, I live here: A Cabin in Vermont” that I realised how much I loved it! So Victoria of Sfgirlbybay - in our dreams we have a timeshare with you!

Something fresh today! Spring keeps poking its head out in-between rain showers (gotta love English weather!) and I’m feeling lighter about life - plus I’m a massive fan of the wishbone chair and I just wanted to look at it :)

This week is starting off with some organisation. I recently moved house and everything is still in boxes. I actually hate moving. I think it’s one of the most stressful things you can do. But alas - I am in and now the unpacking can begin!

This morning was spent breakfasting with friends in the most beautiful setting imaginable in Somerset. That’s what Sundays are for - good friends, good food and fabulous weather.

This weekend is going to be spent moving into my new rental flat! I’m excited about making it homely and organising all my things. Yep, I’m a geek.

I do have some strange obsessions sometimes…..burnt out & patterned velvets are one of them. For example - that’s a pretty ordinary sofa but upholster it in some textured velvet and team it with some Serge Mouille lights and you’ve got a great mix of vintage meets modern. Now only if it were against something dramatic like a navy blue wall!

Last night while scanning my regular blogs I came across this. This little lump of lusciousness belongs to Cassandra Karinsky, founder and owner of Kulchi. Clearly this lady has a gift. The rest of the apartment is styled just as beautifully as this. For someone who is sick to death of the house hunt, it’s nice to see something that inspires you to keep looking for that perfect space!

Loving so many things about this cool and contemporary kitchen! and of course, a cool kitchen must have cool designer pieces such as the Tom Dixon Beat pendant lights and Saarinen Tulip Chairs, in black no less!

How fun is this?? I love that Sputnik chandelier. I regularly trawl sites like 1st Dibs and Vintage & Modern looking at these beauties. Personally I love the really busy starburst or floral style ones. One day I will get my hands on some!

This is like a treasure chest! filled with fantastic flea market finds. In fact - that’s what Sundays are for. My perfect Sunday is spent getting up early and heading to the flea market of choice, rummaging around coffee in hand, looking for that one piece that you take home and add to your collection. What’s your perfect Sunday?
