I’ve seen this image before but always from a different angle. It’s a great & creative use of old vintage gym mats. I have to say I’m rather liking the work that this creative duo Ashe & Leandro produce. They are sophisticated when necessary but still young and fun, which is refreshing!

Well hello! After a few days off and a much needed break I’m back and wishing you all a very Happy Easter. Now on to the important stuff. The above is grey, much like the weather today, but do I love it? Yes. Yes I do (the image not the grey weather). That chair is speaking to me. It’s totally the type of thing that’s catching my eye right now. I feel a long night of trawling eBay ahead…..

Spotted this over on Dust Jacket this morning. Isn’t it fab? This Stockholm apartment belongs to Swedish set stylist Joanna Lavén. Her apartment has been featured in Residence mag before but has undergone quite a transformation. It’s a great example of how changing just a few things like paint colours or flooring can have such a different effect.

Simply a stunning space with right balance of colour, texture & materials. Of course I’m loving the mid century pieces aka the PK22 chairs and Jacobsen lamp (my love for mid century modern is getting out of hand……) and those doors?! Sliding crittall doors = Genius.

On the face of it this bedroom looks quite sweet & feminine, but take a closer look. This person is definitely harbouring some darker issues…….. The choice of word proudly displayed over the bed for one and that baseball bat next to the bed? (I mean seriously? The only reason one has a baseball bat next to the bed is to beat the living sh*t out of intruders or worse….your sleeping partner…..) and lastly the black skull. Imagine opening your eyes to see that staring at you every morning. Dark man, just dark.

Is there such a thing as Interiors Fatigue? It might be just because I eat, sleep and breathe interiors but recently I’ve been struggling to find images that really inspire me. So I’m putting it down to overload. With spring on the way there are sure to be some fab new interior shots. I do however like this pendant light. Very cool.

Sometimes the lines between what’s real and not real can get a little blurred, much like this picture. What you say? It’s just a picture of a unkempt bed! Yes it is but it’s not real. It’s a very good 3D rendering or visual. As in - none of it is real. The whhhole thing is fabricated. For the most part I can still (just about) pic out these sneaky 3D visuals but they are getting harder and harder to identify. I’ll admit it, I was fooled by this one. For more of these impressive visuals check out Juraj Talcik.
